Wine 7.22 Adds OpenLDAP Support, Fixes Saints Row (2022)

Wine 7.22 is now available. Features are as follows:
32-on-64 thunks for both Vulkan and OpenGL OpenLDAP library bundled and built as PE support for the RAW print processor in WinPrint more progress on the long types printf format conversion In addition, 38 bugs were fixed. Both Saints Row (2022) and Gothic II: Night of the Raven should now run.

Wine 7.21 Adds ‘More Preparation Work’ for Vulkan 32-on-64 Support, Fixes Black Screen for Hades in Vulkan Mode

New update for Wine is now out. Notable features with this update include the OpenGL library converted to PE, support for multi-architecture PE build, and more preparation work for Vulkan 32-on-64 support:
OpenGL library converted to PE. Support for multi-architecture PE builds. More preparation work for Vulkan 32-on-64 support. Support for creating import libraries without dlltool. Locale data updates. Various bug fixes. In addition, 25 bugs got fixed, including the black screen fix for Hades when running in Vulkan mode, StarBurn 13 crashing when disabling skins, the fatal error when starting up fotoBiz X, controller fix for Euphoria, as well as a few other titles.
Wine 7.19 Upgrades VKD3D to 1.5, Adds Support for MPEG-4 Audio

The dev release of Wine 7.19 is out. Notable improvements to this version include:
VKD3D has been updated to v1.5, which adds support for more HLSL shading language features MPEG-4 audio support 17 bug fixes, including fixes for Resident Evil Revelations 2, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and Sonic Adventure DX (2004) See the patch notes on WineHQ. It probably won’t be long before GE-Proton picks up this update. We should be expecting Wine 8.
Wine 7.12 Released, Upgrades VKD3D to 1.4 and Adds Theming Support for Qt5 Apps

Wine 7.12 released earlier today. Here’s the changelog:
Theming support for Qt5 applications. Bundled vkd3d upgraded to version 1.4. Improved effect support in Direct2D. QWORD support in registry tools. Various bug fixes. A total of 13 bugs were fixed, including:
Star Citizen: No mic input audio (used for voip) StarCitizen launcher crashes on start with a winmm error Shogun Total War 2 crashes on start up. (Main Application.) Approach (Smart Suite) crashes when trying to print to cups-pdf Argentum 20 RPG Launcher has graphical glitches Incorrect display of selected buttons in Light theme.
Play Metroid Prime in Stunning HD with MPR (With Wine, for Now)

I now have renewed interest in playing the original Metroid Prime for the GameCube. Why’s that? Because there’s this GORGEOUS HD mod that has finally been released after four years in the making.
Just look at the screenshots yourself. The game still looks great nearly 20 years later, but now it got a fan-made upgrade in the visual department that makes it look like the game came out not even five years ago.
